Well quite the upsetting and depressing set back in completing the car...
Dropped a wheel into a pot of lightly simmering sunshine orange RIT dangling on a wire just above the bottom, well 2-3-4 minutes passed and it was not doing a damn thing except turning into a ka-ka color yellow which I assumed was it starting to dye. Well I left it in for about 10-13m checking on it every couple of minutes. After pulling it up for the last time I noticed that my entire wheel was not only warped, it wasn't EVEN DYED ORANGE!!!

I refuse to put street tires on this car, so I grabbed (4) 2.2 stock Axial Wraith wheels and installed the 2 rear ones then decided to see if I could cut and narrow the other 2 wheels to fit the tires and learn something new... Well it turns out it was a piece of cake with a whole mess of JB weld frosting and super glue
Take a look, I think they came out alright.

Also decided to pick-a-part my TMAXX lying in the darkness for a fuel tank and lines. Measured, drilled amd countersunk the holes and bolted her up, tired of working on this and not have an option to drive it...

Do the camber link rod ends need to be straight from caster to tower? I have a elbow on one end and straight on the other.. Does it matter where the camber link attaches to the tower? Lol I'm pretty much guessin...

The links should be the same. On all of the rigs that I have with adjustable toe links, they are all straight.

I didnt realize or take into affect of the offset of the wheels, so now I am rollin STRAIGHT CHOLLO!!

Exhaust is only mocked up for photo so dont panic!

My tires that have a good chance of never seeing the street haha

Well got the exhaust zipped and a coat hanger pipe bracket so its secure, along with the suspension re-done and fixed. Did up new rod ends, found best fit on s-tower and used my micrometer to properly gap the turnbuckles and the F&R casters or whatever they are called lol.. Now the fun starts waiting for the wife to get off work so I can take it to a dirt lot I drive by on my way to work for an official maiden voyage as a rally car!

Just got back from a quick test on the dirt, and all I can say is WOW!!! This thing tears up the dirt like a SCT, minus every other aspect of a SCT besides the dirt trashin rock roostin capabilities!!!

Rigging up the GoPro to it for some FPV offroad rally action!!!

Well I went old school but not the old school I was after... Good ole Tower was 'Mid Month' from getting the one I wanted, oh well its not like I can only own 1 lid per rig lol...

So Tower f'd my order up so I cancled it and re-ordered with the same items for the mgt but switched it up on the body choice..

I am a diehard Subaru fan and my favorite gen is the 98-99 Impreza RS 2.5, and I found it!!

This isnt mine or the sites but the only one I could find painted and posing. What do yall think?

And got a great deal on fleebay for a set of 4 Traxxas 1/10 stock rally car tires that come on their rally cars. Normally $20+ for 2, got all 4 for $30 shipped!! can't wait!!!!

Got the body in today, will be brain storming diff color schemes for it, I am going to do a Ken Block scheme. Body paint black n blue, and my wheel combo is going to be differant, 3 black dyed wheels and one blue wheel.

Gonna have to think real hard on a nice color scheme, I have 3 shades of blue, firey orange and krypto gold......

Heres my rough sketch on the mask, I'm likin it alot so far and have a lil hand paintibg done on the hood and trunk.

The passenger headlight, marker and vent will be cut out on that side only forba custom intake inlet and look, or painted flat black. I like!
