RC Driving Style
Guys, seeing many pics of baja trucks, I decided to go with Baja style for my Slash. I see that there some key differences (at a glance)..there are light bars and spare tires, and no mud flaps! Is there anything else I should add/remove to make my Slash more Baja authentic?

I would also appreciate if you guys can point out some technical differences between them (on the real trucks) just for reference. Thanks :)

A roll cage would be a cool addition for looks. Even more realistic tires and wheels would be cool! Post some pictures sometime. I love scale Baja trucks.

long travel suspension.

Hey good question! Kind of fun to think about...

I'd say "Baja" type trucks, or you could call them trophy trucks too, seem to be more heavy duty, ready to take on anything unseen in it's path with a lot more reinforcement and back up items to survive and endure racing hundreds and hundreds of miles on end. They also have a slightly more sophisticated suspension. And they aren't really meant so much to run into eachother rubbing fenders in every corner like the SC trucks... And like you said, the lights too, for running safely around the clock in unknown terrain.

TORC/CORR style/"Short course" type trucks are closed circuit groomed track racers that are a bit more streamlined (not having spares/tools/etc. on board), meant more for contacting eachother rather than giant rocks/drops/stumps/etc., and for quicker races.
The mudflaps are to help keep down any dangerous roost the other racers would be subjected to in close quarters elbow rubbing racing.

Maybe kind of like comparing a motocross bike to more of an adventure/enduro bike.

I've also spent the past couple of years trying to turn my actual truck into a prerunner, so I love looking at and researching all types of trucks!

you happen to have any photos of what you accomplished with your Slash??

.... and back up items to survive and endure racing hundreds and hundreds of miles on end.

eg bigger fuel tanks and spare tyres

but not only that, they've got support gear for the human driver too

like a piped drink water supply and, umm, somewhere for the water to go :o
