Checking to see if anyone knows when this happened. I didn't notice of course until after I sent $250 via their site to order the LCG conversion kit with motor/esc for my savage until I sent a follow up email a couple days later to get an autoresponder saying they are closed indefinitely.

Then I went to the site's home page, which looked fine, then checked the contact page and it has this at the top:
Kershaw Designs will be closed indefinitely due to a medical emergency.

They should have put that at the top of their home page. This was the autoresponder to my email:
The Kershaw Designs shop will be closed indefinitely due to a medical emergency with the owner. We wish we could give a more hard and fast date for when we will be back to serve the RC community, but due to the uncertain nature of this emergency, we can only say all open requests from customers and are saved and will be address as soon as they can be. Please bare with us.

Wish I had seen that before I placed my order. Now I have $250 in limbo. Now I don't know if/how to cancel the order then go with a different company for the conversion. I really wanted to get my savage converted!

That sucks and I hate to hear that for Kershaw as he made some pretty awesome hardware.

As for your payment contact your credit card / paypal and they will be able to refund those funds pretty quickly, probably more so with that message and auto reply as proof.

Will see if I get a response. There's a number on the site that I'll call in a few days if I don't get an email back.

From what I read on the comments from the company on google, forums and youtube, people are either elated or angry about the parts and customer service. Not many middle ground people.

For this, I'm just bummed as it was a pretty comprehensive package that took out a lot of the guess work and fabricating.

Well, 2 weeks and no response to any email sent or message left on the number I found. I filed a dispute on paypal, which immediately turned into a claim. Paypal said the recipient was unable to receive emails, so all I could do was file a claim. 10-30 days before I hear something back I think.

Guess I'll be converting my savage X to a flux the more permanent way by getting the tvp's, motor plate/mount, battery cases and internal trans gear. Just hoping I can find the short wheel base version. The long wheel base version doesn't fit in my carry bag. Besides, I prefer the shorter nitro version over the longer one. I had a hot bodies 1" extended savage many years ago.

Really wish I could have gone the kershaw route. Less invasive. But I want to get this done before summer is over so I can get some wheel time in before winter.
