ok getting annoyed now, everytime i drive my rc10gt it blows a CB bearing iv got it slightly shimmed so that there is a gap about the size of a mechanical pencil lead, they just keep on grenading.

I'm running an OS .12 cv-r
I'm also buying the best bearing my lhs has.

any suggestiongs would help.

What brand are you running? Even so, your mesh could be too tight. Your clutch could also be slipping so much that its heating up too much and they are falling apart, but i think its more to do with the mesh.

Like 21 said, if your gear mesh between the spur and cb are to tight, it creates a lot of pressure on those bearings. If you have play (pencil lead thickness is .5mm), then it's probably the mesh or the bearings your buying just aren't that good.

Do you know what brand of bearing your using? If they are duratrax, find something else. They don't last long on anything IME.

Man, i use duratrax bearings in all of my clutch bells... None have had a problem after 2-3 gallons...

I use the stock bearings, and haven't had a problem. Course, every third race week, I clean and oil them.... 10 gallons later, and no problems.

ok guys i figured out the problem it was that i had to sit for like 4-5 minutes before the heat idling on the ground. and they just got too heated and they aren't sealedvery well the seals like fall off if you touch them wrong...

there dynamite bearing i believe but ill be getting the best metal shielded bearings i can find once my extra set get trashed.

Loser .. have you ever tried Dave C.'s Bearings?
I had them in my FT GT and never once had any problem with them .. i also used the extra little third bearing as well .. I know Daves forum is back up but i don't want to post a link on here out of respect for this forum ...if you want hit me up ......send me a pm ...
And running bearings with rubber seals in a clutch bell is ( imo and in my exper.) a very bad i dea ..
the cb gets hot .. rubber melts .. aka dead bearings and a messed up clutch
i only run steel seal bearings ...or the carbn fiber seals

My OFNA's last many many gallons on my savage. They are rubber shielded on one side and metal shielded on the other.

AVID made the same kind of bearings for a buck each (one side rubber shielded, the other side is metal shielded). I just ordered 10 of them because was told they are great.

yes mel, I'm going to order some of daves bearings as soon as these ones i just bought go KA-POW! :P
