what is the diff. between these buggies I have a K2 and want to make it into a K3 what parts do I need thnks

shove about $150 in the tailpipe and call it a K3, JK. I'm not up on the K cars but I'm pretty sure the shocks are a few mm longer, not sure on other stuff. i know a few people have had problems in the K3's with the front universal popping out of the diff cup under hard landings. I've heard the K2 was the best handling of the group. my ? is why do you want to convert it? performance is very close between the 2, so are you just looking for bragging rights? i would think the money would be better spent in aftermarket upgrades from racers edge or fioroni. just something to think about.

the k3 had longer shocks, titanium screws and a milled chassis.

get a milled chassis from wherever, I like JT racing and Fioroni myself, take out 2 brake discs, change the centre LSD for a standard diff and you're practically there.

One recurring compaint about the K3 was that many people thought they paying more for less, as the main aim was to strip the K2 to make it lighter.

the k3 had longer shocks, more suspension drop and a couple of cosmetic deferences basically, and weight, like chex said the k3 is sort of a step backwards, over here they have been breaking shock shafts as well.
I went from a k2 to a k3 and sold the k2 to a mate (wish i hadnt now) i agree that the k2 actualy gave a better ride.

thnks guys for the knowledge. I already have a fioroni chasiss and front rear braces and shock towers, radio tray. So I guess the longer shocks in the rear is and the LSD diff in the center is the only other thing. Is it true that people prefer a regular diff in the center or should I leave the LSF diff there?

i think the LSd in the middle is good, but i think you should run standards front and rear, and just change the oil in them depending on the track, till recentl I ran mine lsd mid and rear and 4000 oil in the front, I now run lsd mid, 4000 front and 350 rear no lsd in the rear and gingos crickey it handles well, but remember it depends on the track and your driving style, my setup might work well for me but not for you :)))))))

yea...it all depends on what you like...I've always a storm traction centre, LSD front and stgandard back, I tried the LSD centre today and while it was loadsa fun I would never race with it, the car had a lot of snap oversteer....i come from an on road backgroung do I like the understeer hiven by the Storm Traction

how does the lsd in the middle effect the handling of the car
