well after all i went throug with getting it tuned i was running it today like it shoud be and next thing i know it shuts off and sezes i opend the engin up to see whats going on and piston was separaded from the rod the pin that hold the rod to the piston head shatered and put a gauge in the pistion head and thats all she wrought now i am scrued and pissed this shoud not happen to a new truck now what am i to do any sugestions?the truck is only as old since x mass and i have bin running 20%nitro and it was running rich:doh: :angry: :OMG:

now I feel better about reading your post, sorry to hear about your mill. I would call HPI and see if they will warranty the mill.
 
ha ha ha very funny laugh it up any way i called them and thay sayed to send the engine to them and thay will look at it

Anyway, glad to hear that they will take a look at it, hopefully they will send you a brand new mill.

Trying not to cry over the resurrection of yet another dead thread.
 
My friends and I made a ramp for our savages. One day, we were filming some jumps and my cousins launched about 8 ft in the air and landed directly on the engine. The darn block cracked in half. Ill have to post some pictures of it. Pretty sick. I heard that HPI has a program for the savage where if you break the engine, you can send it back with a check for $80.00 and they will send you a new one. If it was a problem from the manufacturer or if you followed the breakin procedures and then the problem came up, they should replace if for you with no problem.

Just my 1 cent, because my opinion is not worth that much.
 
well thay sent me a new one no charge and it was all my fault .......cement in the engine=devil
