K N filter

hey guys J/W if anyone has tried out a k n air filter on their nitro rig didnt know it there is a big difference in tuning, cleaning and stuff like that. This is the one people are selling on ebay http://www.ajusa.com/details/index/506/KNF/0/KNF+62-2480

In a word: DON'T!

It doesn't offer enough filtration and can cause premature engine failure. Stay with a good 2-stage foam filter and you'll be better off.

Ok just to let you know they are a super BAD IDEA for nitro engines. The problem is they let too much stuff through that can kill a nitro in a hurry. On a car engine the little stuff that gets through is not big deal. On these little suckers it is a death sentence. I would get a good 2 stage Motor Saver oil foam filter. Get an outer wears cover for it and you are even better off. But K&N for RC is bad juju.

^^Awesome filter, I have one of those on my revo, and man do they have a wide field of air flow

That traxxas filter is just as good as any other. Have one fall off during a run and you'll see what I mean. Running through half a tank without it made no difference in performance.
