Entered in the Novice Stock On-Road and had a great time. there were 19 cars 2 heats 10 per heat. Everyone starts and stays there until they win place or show in an A main or plainly don't belong there during the practice.

First heat went great and I took 2nd place. It was clear that a lot of the drivers were not that good. A lot of them were just learning to control their car, yet others were damn good drivers with several races under their belt.

My times were consistent and I learned a lot. It was clear that I needed to drop a tooth or two and get rid of some steering. It was a good race and there was lots of traffic to navigate.

Second heat went well. My lap times went down and stayed consistent. Dropping a tooth gave me a bit more punch around the infield. Came in third.

Started 3rd in the a-main and got punted on the second lap. It took out my steering servo saver. Broke the bolt in half and cracked the rack. Its par for the course when there is 10 cars on the track and everyone is a novice.

It was a good day. 95 racers and 135 registered cars. All in all I had a great time. I was a little disappointed in the Main but hay.... Its racing.

I hope to get in a lot of time this winter at the indoor track here in Huntington Beach. I have a TC4 that is just waiting for a Neo One and Sphere ESC. It's all ready to go except for the motor/esc. Hopefully I can do as well as you , Eddy.

SoCal RC Speedway is a great place! I've been more then a few times, just never to race. I used to live 1.3 miles from there. :D

Racing is a great time. I just wish I could get more track time. The club races are so big here that we only get 3 runs in all day. 9:00am-6:00pm and we only get 12 minutes of track time. Its a great day of BSing with everyone and making new friends but track time is limited. I have so much more to learn and being out there is the only way to do it.

I'm running a TC3 with a stock Monster pro and a Novak GTX. I need a better motor. Thats on my list for this week. Even after truing the comm, aligning the hood and installing XXX brushes it doesn't cut it. I'm going to get a good professionally tuned stock motor.

hey eddy we should see a flood of new members after you chatting with that many rc addicts.. you were sporting the rcnt logo on everything right??? lol

I spread the word of RCNT wherever I go. Most of the local racers are at home on another forum but a few should at least come and check us out.

I'm always open for suggestions.
Please list a few good tuners for me. sl0eg1n listed 2 the other day. I was going to dig up the thread and do some research.

i use xxx brushes with my surge motors and love them. i drill a hole into the brush and break-in with the following sequence. so far i have more than 10 runs on the same brushes with plenty of rip. i just recently re-trued the com and re-seated the brushes, after cleaned with a fiberglass comm stick pen, for 300secs @2.5V. this rejuvenated the motors power for another 5-10 runs.

this was given to me from a tech person that i know at trinity for xxx break-in.
300 secs @ 2.0V
100 secs @ 3.0V
100 secs @ 2.0V
