Hi. Just though I would upload some pics of my Kryptonite rebuild. Had a few days to upgrade some parts so here they are.
1st. I replaced the standard exhaust with a tuned pipe which actually sounds a lot nicer than I expected.

I then upgraded the standard air filter for a K&N filter which just looks awesome.

I finished it all off by replacing my standard shocks, which are a joke, with some adjustable ones. The front of the Truggy actually comes back up after its pushed down :hehe:

Left originals and new one on the right.

The movement of the truggy feels much smoother. Not started it yet, leaving that for another day. Just waiting to respray the original shell as its not unique. Upgrading to 2.4Ghz transmitter but still looking at different models. Ansmann W6 looks like it could fit the job. Anyone have a particular one that they fond of and could vouch for?
Cheers

Good luck with that K&N, it doesn't filter near as good as a two-stage oiled foam filter. Looks nice though.

Yeah!!
them K&N's sure are dandy arent they.
Run the piss out of that bad boy will ya please.

(good lord i can not believe people)

Well its going for a run today and I will let you know if the filter makes any difference.

Yeah. Well the filter been replaced with a oval 2 stage fast flow filter. That should keep the engine sweet.

oh why?

I thought that k&n was the best thing out there.

I think it might be ok in petrol engines but in nitro engines letting through even small particles had cause damage to the engine. The nitro air filters stop even the smallest particles.

I've done the K&N and killed my engine fast.

Just stick with oiled two stage foam filters, they're much better.

The K&N's just can't filter all the small crud a good foam filter can.

Here's what that filter is meant for.
its fine to remove that hose and replace it with a breather. I'm doing that on my B12 because the breather housing on the OE airbox is both clogged and it will be scrapped for my intake anyway. If you plan on adding an intake investing in a breather filter is a worhtwhile investment.
Theres no real power to be found by adding the breather filter. All it does it allow the engine to "breath" between strokes. Moving parts create vacuums in their wakes and the breather allows air in to fill those vacuums. This reduces pumping losses caused by the vacuums and helps the engine to run a bit smoother. /QUOTE]
