Here's a link to a novarossi engine I just bought.

Is it a good buy? To me, it looks like another Mugen MT12 engine, but the guy says its a Novarossi NSL-3 engine. On the sides of the engine, it says Nova on one side, and M12 on the other, which leads me to believe its a Mugen MT12. Its hard to tell because he changed the head to a cooling head. But the engine does use a turbo plug, which I dont think the MT12 uses.

Anyhow, let me know what you guys think.

I think you are right ! It looks like a M12 which is a NovaRossi with Mugans name on it and yes some M 12 did come with a turbo plug and crank. A very good little engine but I would have to see better pictures of yours to see what kind of shape its in . I useto run them 2 years ago. But a note on buying used engines It just seams they are all bearley used LOL When you are thinking about getting a used engine try to get a good picture of the crank (out of the engine) Look at the Port area on the outside .The amount of scratches in that area will tell you how it has been taken care of

I look at the exhaust port from the block.....No engine w/ black crap around there has had less than a gallon through it, and if it did actually have less than a gallon it means they were clueless as to how to maintain it.....it's a rough estimate way but a lot easier to ask the guy to snap a pic of instead of tearing the whole mill apart....

In addition look at the piston and sleeve through the exhaust port. Check for scratches. Look at the crank through the carb and check for scratches. For a better view at the crank you need to remove the carb and look directly into the block.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm gonna try it out and see how it works. Got it in the mail today. Internally, engine looks clean. No dirt whatsoever. Compression is good too. If anything, I'm gonna run it for a day, then put it back on ebay, because I decided to get an RB V12 5 port. Thanks again.
