I just bought my first buggy, a Mayhem with the .26 and JR radio. I did notice on sportwerks website it says it comes with a JR XR3i radio, but mine came with the XR2i. What is the the difference between the two radios? Why didn't I get the XR3i? Anybody else have this happen to them?

They offer the RTR with both radios. The one with the XR2i is about $60cheaper. The XR3i is a FM radio and the XR2i is AM. Other than that, I don't know the differences, if any between the two RTRs.

I wouldn't sweat it much, honestly. Having 1 extra channel means nothing since you're not using reverse or anything like that. The Mayhem is a nice setup. I have been running one since last summer. Very quick and rock solid. Just break it in gently and the thing will scream!

Yes... Definitally break it in correctly or your engine will blow like my friends did. The engine come with the engine too rich so you'll only see temps around 115*. You want it at around 180-200 for the first few tanks. ONLY adjust the high speed needle to bring up the temps, once you are ready to tune after break it, go ahead and adjust the low end. You'll love the buggy!

The 2i is AM, and the 3i is FM with some more adjustability. It's still a nice radio for an RTR. You should love your buggy, I have both the RTR and a Pro and have a blast with them. The .26 is a pretty nice engine to start with as well.
