ok ..so i bought the traxxas BIG BORE shocks. the traxxas alum. bulkheads. the RPM. arms.and stainless hinge pins. and an extra glow plug wire.....what else could possibly break???
thanks brandon.

when you put the alluminum bulks on, you should put blue locktite on the threads of the screws going into the chassis deck.. they stay put longer. I used to have them come loose all the time.

That roll bar looks pretty cool...

I might have to get one for my self, all i have is some chains going over my engine that are on my bodie!

ill put a pic on here later if ya want to see it...

I like roll bars. They make bodies last a lot longer since they can't flex so far and they protect the engine. I'm not a huge fan of roll cages as they just get in the way. A well built roll bar is usually more stout than a roll cage anyway.

If the vehicle I have doesn't come with a roll bar, I make one. I usually make one anyway to beef up the ones that come with these things.

Yeah same here! I always make something to protect the bodie if it doesn't have a roll cage or something...

But that roll bar is pretty cool!

I was just gonna say that looks like a winner for me, but once again, another part that won't fit my 4908.....RATS.

I had the non-4908 version of this when I had a maxx:

Tough as nails. That newer one I linked for you would be the preferred, but if it won't work due to the longer chassis, then this one is tagged as only being for the 4908 maxx. They didn't have the newer one when I had a maxx. Only the 3-point.

Yeah that one looks cool I just wish it had engine protection. Thank you.

Hey wedge here's what I've done to my maxx. I wrote it all down just so I could see how nuts I am. Aluminum bulks, wheely bar, throttle bellcrank, 3 shoe clutch & flywheel, shocks, front skid, and 14mm hexes. From rpm I have a true track rear suspension kit, control arms, shock towers and axle carriers. I used lunsford titanium hinge pins, mip spline cvd's, and steel universals on all four corners. A proline runtime tank(10 times better than stock), steel 55 t spur gear, and a set of big joe 40 series tires and velocity wheels. I put on an 80 chevy body and added bearings to my steering and throttle. Lastly it has a picco 21 max engine, THS pipe and manifold with futaba and hitec servos. I have to agree with Metalhead Matt on the steel spur, it will transfer shock loads into my trans and I'm going to probably replace it. Also I wanted a better wheely bar but if you're going to get one don't replace your rear skid or bumper with aluminum, you need that flexibility back there. The funny thing is I still have to get chassis braces, a roll bar and a few other small things. It's never quite good enough these things are addictive!!
