hey guys,

i want to know is how would i clean my tank on my truck because I've got some poop at the bottom of it. I'm scared to run it till its dry just incase it goes through my engine..

do you have this problem with your tanks on your cars ? or am i the only 1

thanks in advance nf123 :)

get some nitro blast and take the tank off- hang it upside down and spray away, let it dry and re-install, THEN but a good fuel filter. In racing it is quite common during a quick fill to get some dirt in there---driver reving --pit man fueling with the lid open--it happens.

Two things...

1. Please try and refrain from using foul language in the title for your thread.

2. It is not uncommon to get some junk in the bottom of your fuel tank. SIRMAXXALOT covered some scenarios that can cause this. A little extra care in running will help.

Note, the exhaust blowing into your tank to pressurize it and push the fuel to the engine deposits oil and other particles, also. A good fuel filter is a must if your desire for your engine to have a nice long life. On top of the filter, a good cleaning of your tank from time to time is a good idea.

Help you out with what. SIRMAXXALOT has given you some great advice (see the second post). I followed it up with some more information (see bullet number two and the note that follows it in my post.)

What more do you desire to know?

Are you the only one with this problem? No

Do people have this problem with their cars? Yes, until they take more care to not introduce foreign particles into their tanks and realize that the exhaust into the tank for pressure purposes will do it anyways. These same people typically run with a fuel filter on the fuel line to the carb. Fuel filters usually only cost about $5 (if that).
