prankster - no, far from it. pranksters dont exactly use 30 grand as a vacuum cleaner.
worst mechanic... i dont think you could put the word 'mechanic' and them in the same sentece. porting that stuff in?? indescribable.

-----------------
and you all thought i was tough on scooby. i was merely being friendly compared to some of those guys. (and i wasn't trying to be tough on scooby)

Hey, that sounds like a couple of the mechanics we had when I was in the Army.

OMG ROLFL>>>>>GASP GASP GASP.........What a total slaptard. I hope for goodness sake he is joking....sniff sniff, wipe eyes...damn.....

i was so dumbfounded when i read it, i either forgot to laugh, or I'm waiting on the sudden blast of hysteria that I'm gona unexpectedly going to be overcome with.
i think I'm best summed up at the moment with :OMG:

Why didn't any of you think of that? I'm sure it's much easier to polish the intake manifold THAT way, than it is to go through all the trouble of taking it off.

When you think you've heard it all, an even dumber guy comes along and tries something brilliant.

I wish I had been there. Not to tell them not to do it, just to listen to all those 'funny noises'.

LMFAO Holy crap!!!! I'd love to think its a joke but after some of the true accounts of dumb ideas I've seen who knows. Either way nice find.

No... the green stuff goes in the crank case, not the big cooling thing on the front. Did you get the whole 5lb back of sugar in the gas tank? It doesn't run right without a 40:1 fuel/sugar ratio. Did we run out of gravel for the intercooler again? Man.. This just isn't our day.

What the hell is a dipstick?

Hmmm, sounds like a good idea to me. I have been thinking about having the LRP .28 ported and polished....With this method I can save a lot of money plus I already have some sand!

this has been goin around for awile.

the same thing was spoted on several different forums but with different cars being used

Reminds me of some photos I saw a few years back. Guy decided he wanted his new brakes to look nice, so he spray painted them. Rotors, and all. It was even better after somebody pointed out that the rotors he'd bought, had the wrong lug pattern for his car.

my step mother one day had a "squeak" in her brakes (the little tab was letting her know she blew through another set of pads in a month)....we were doing some school shopping....she pulls over digs through her pile of poop in the back seat and emerges with a giant spray can of silicone grease,,,she then proceeds to order me to spray the brakes of the car we are going to be driving away in...I say NO FREAKIN WAY, unless I get to walk home and live....she then proceeds to beat me until we arrive at home....runs in and yells at my father that I am not listening to her...he runs outside to the car and proceeds to throw me around for not listening to her...I then explained the reason I wasn't doing what she said to.....after the apologie cam he turned around and hit me once more for not doing it and walking home anyway (jokingly of course)....after seeing just how stupid people can be about cars I could believe this has happened somewhere.....

yes my step mother thought she could hurt me by hitting me...she never counted on me being such hard ass kid....I got "spanked" for almost anythign from her...the big thing for her was to try to make me cry....Screw her I'd laugh when she hit me with the belt...the beating in the car was just her flailing her arms at me as she tried to drive.....yeah my father was a hard ass when I was growing up...I never got hit for just anything (from him), but listening to the parents was a big thing in my family...if he said the sky was red adn I said no it's blue I'd probably have gotten hit for that too....lol....just another reason I left home at 16 :D....I think I did OK for myself though

HA! I learned to laugh too while being spanked!! Worked everytime!!

But that also explains my sudden desire to be chained up and beaten with a belt on Friday nights with Mrs. "last call".

That reminds me of the time my dad was replacing a radiator on my moms' '87 Merkur XR4Ti (if you know what one of those are, my condolences)...

He had removed the air filter, some cooling lines, and the radiator brackets, when he suddenly realised that there was a hose clamp missing. Guess where it went...

That's right! Right down the air intake for the turbo.

Sitting back and watching my mom come out of the house to check on her car was priceless; my dad looked like he had ran over the family dog. Meanwhile, my mom was about as irate as it gets.

After my mom found out what had happened, my dad offered up this little gem of advice; "just start the engine... It'll cough the clamp out the exhaust." Yes, he was serious about it.

The car ended up getting towed to a shop. It cost $550 to retrieve a $5 part that was lost in an effort to save $55 in labor.
