A few may remember the video I posted a few weeks ago, with the little yellow biplane that would put on a show that could raise a dead mans bloodpressure... his speciality was low precision aerobatics.

He passed away following an accident in his highly modified Pitts Special.
One hell of a guy, lost forever. :(
What happened to him happened within a matter of milliseconds.

Yeah hell of a loss. http://www.whiotv.com/news/13780478/detail.html http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/index/news/local/airshowcrash/index.html http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/story/news/local/2007/07/29/ddn072907ty.html
My condolences and prayers go out to his family.

We were of taking pics when it happened. Could see them flying. Saw a lot of black smoke. Didn't think much of it at first. (Supposed to have Shockwave there and we we a pretty good bit away) Then we got close enough to hear the announcer asking if anyone had video to please bring it up.

Right before we left they said he was alive. The announcer came on and led a prayer.

A real tragedy.

Kind of like the loss of Bob Hoover a number of years ago during the filming of Top Gun. He will be missed.

Art Scholl died during the filming of Top Gun.
