Hey guys just trying to compare wich would be better? I know one is buggy and the other is a ST. The jato runs pretty nice 55+mph but, the hurricane xp is rated at over 70mph. How do this two compare on topend, lowend, jumping, bashing, etc? The jato is a 1/10 ST, while the Hurricane is a 1/8 buggy. Again any input is greatly appreicated...

Who makes the hurricane? What do you plan on doing with your new toy? Racing, or bashing?

I would go with the jato, just because its a traxxas and its easy to find parts for. Everybody carries parts for them. With the hurricane, chances are your going to have a hard time finding parts for it when it brakes. And believe me IT WILL BRAKE!

I've never heard of the "Hurricane" but with a company pumpin it out braggin its MPH, Id say go with the Jato. There crazu fast I guess anyway.. Stick with the namebrands as much as ya can. (Traxxas, Hpi, Losi, AE..etc)

Any car with the suffix "XP" I would stay away from. Too much like Microsofts' Windows (prone to easy breaking, and support is next to impossible).

However, your mileage may vary. I would contact the company and see who distributes them, and if they say either Horizon, Global, or Great Planes, you should be safe. However, if they say they're a direct-order company, don't walk, but RUN away faster than you ever have before.

I'm with the others on this one; you might be safer to go with the Jato, as it has MANY aftermarket options, including different types of engines that are direct-drop-ins.

Apparently the Hurricane does 80 though....snigger....

I'm sure that's probably IN a hurricane...

And probably somewhere on the box;

* Actual Hurricane NOT included.

Go with the Jato and save yourself some headaches....theres a guy that runs the hurricane around here and the quality is just not there, and 70-80mph is a lie.

Over 70MPH from a budget buggy! :horsecrap On what 100% nitro content fuel a NOS system and...a HURRICANE pushing it.Sure,sounds like a pile of steaming you know what.If it was true then their budget 1/8th buggy would outpace pure ten nitro on roads,yeah right.In a hurricane only

Get a Jato it is a proven rocket fast stadium truck,great support and a great purchase.
