Guys. what issues if any have we seen with these yet?

Anyone bothered to pop the metal spur gear in over the plastic stocker?

There are a few people here that have a SCRT-10, but from what I've seen no one seems to have any real issues with them. Or at least none that they are posting.

The truck is awsome. Only issue I've had was the upper arm on the front is a weak point. I removed them in favor of a normal tierod style upper ( like on most 2wd's). Other than that, no problems. Awsome truck. I'm running a blitz body and 2wd slash front wheels and they still tuck under the body!

:first_place:great!

Mine is excellent so far. I did hit something and the rear outer hinge pin popped, but but no damage as such.

I was looking at getting the metal lightened spur, in case I eat the teeth on the plastic one. but that is probably all at the mo.

Also watch your factory wheel nuts, they like to back off and you get to watch a wheel pass the truck. I replaced mine but that's like a two dollar part. At least it's not like the slash 4x4 that breaks all the time. I work at a hobby store, and I am slowly starting to hate the slash 4x4 cause I'm tired of fixing them. Also no it's not the same person it's been a bunch of people.

I would not worry about the metal spur; as long as your mesh is right you shouldn't have an issue with the plastic one.

I have broken 2 of the plastic steering bellcranks where the servo link attaches to it. I was also popping the stock ballcups off so I swapped the ballcups and ballstuds to the Losi ones. No issues since. I thought about captured style like on the Slash, but with the speeds associated with this truck, I wanted a weak link somewhere.

As for the wheel nuts, I bought the HPI serrated nuts (non-nyloc) and they flat out don't move. I think they were $4-5 for a set of four, pricey but worth every penny.

I love mine, but it's parked for a while until I buy new electronics for it. Planning a Novak Havoc Pro with an HV 5.5 or 6.5, but I've heard some talk about a new Ballistic HV series and it may be worth the wait.

Thanks for the reply all very useful info. I will hold fire on the spur.

I raced a guy that had an SCRT10, and he ran the metal spur gear. That thing was LOUD! He had no problems though, and it got around the track very quickly.
