Have anyone use Jaco Nitro Shoes for racing? How do they compare to the HPI R40 foams?

I use Nitro Shoes and they work ok, but I haven't run the others to compare them too. I've had a couple chunk but that hasn't been too bad, IMO. I mainly use them cause I found a good source to get them.

I have used them on my Nitro TC3 but never raced it. I did however used it on the track. I used 35-40 shore mainly. They lasted longer. I am sure that if you used something softer traction could improve. Best get a set up board to dial in your suspension too.

Sorry never drove an HPI R40.

i have used the HPI R40 foams a couple of times and had no problems with them in regards to chunking. They are just a bit higher price than the ones i usually use, Ellegi. Jaco nitro shoes tend to chunk more than HPI R40. I am also not a big fan of spoked rims. I like to keep as close to dish wheels as possible.

Most foam tires (ellegi, HPI R40, Fast Tyres, Trinity) all come from the same manufacturer. The manufacturer is GRP Gandini. The companies just put their own wheel on it.

Some Manufacturers buy there foams from different sources like Italy, usa, canada so sometimes it's not the same foam
& If you are looking for a really good foam tire for a great price check out GQ foams they outlast on tire wear versus the top name brands
www.competition-rc.com see if you can get a better price elsewhere
