I'm not the most tidy guy in the world and my Mayhem is showing signs of clean up neglect. Anyway, after 6 months of accumulated dirt and spilt fuel, I decided to thoroughly clean the thing. I took off the electronics and engine and a power washed the whole chasis and brushed it out. Well, I let it dry and guess what....there's seems to be a residue everywhere. It's kind of whitish but it doesn't seem to come off.

Anyway, it looks unclean. Are there any hints out there to return it to a shiny luster. I'm thinking having a new look to the plastics and stuff...I may was well have a brand new looking ride after the hour or so of cleaning her up.

Have you tried simple green? Or maybe WD40? I use a little denatured alchohol on the metals to break the dirt, then WD40 to give the plastics that shiny black 'new' look.

got it...I'll go with the WD-40 and get her shining again. thanks

Honda's plastic polish and cleaner workw well too. You can get a big can from a motorcycle shop. It makes the plastic look new like WD-40, cleans up bodies, and removes adhesive that the number stickers leaves behind.

Last teardown I did, I just sprayed WD 40 on the plastic parts and blew them off with air. Worked pretty good.

try useing thunderblast. it works great. i cleaned mine 1 time with it and it looked brand new. costs about 2.00 at the dollar stores
