i was trying to break in my new os .18 and i cannot get it to start.if i do get it to start itll only run for a second and then itll die. if i try to keep it going to throttle itll just stall. i give up and I'm a lilttle fed of with the blisters I'm getting on my hands. its might be to cold out to try to get it goin but I'm using a hair dryer to get the block warm! i really can't handle this any more its making me crazy!

it's probably because it is bran new and the settings are too rich. Lean out the LSN 1/8 of a turn till it will start and not stall when you give it a little gas. For the HSN, lean it out about 1/4 turn as well.

/\ What He Said/\

Lean it out a bit until it will turn over and keep a good steady idel. The revs might spike up, so keep it planted. Thumb the throttle a bit to keep it running. after it gets a bit warmer you should be able to put a good tune on it.

Well, not really, because it still needs to be broken in. I'm almost positive the problem is tuning (too rich), but it does need to be rich during break in. Just do it slowly and you should do fine. If you have a temp gun, try to keep the temps over 210 for break in. Also make sure there is smoke coming from the exhaust.

Oh... I was under the impression that it was already broken in. Need to read better next time. Run a couple tanks, then go for tuning lol.

Do you know how to "prime" the engine? Just curious if your new to the hobby and pullstarts.

If not, put your finger over the stinger, pull the cord a couple of times until you see the fuel reach the carb. Then put on the ignitor, let it sit for about 10 seconds, open up the throttle about 1/16 of an inch and try to start it.

Just a suggestion you might want to check the glow plug, I have had them jsut quit working just a thought :)

i finally got it to start but now it wont move. it just kinda sits there revving.

How high is it revving? If it isnt revving high enough (not full throttle, but you know what i mean), the internal clutch wont engage...
