i love my picco .26 iam still breaking it in, everything seems ok but when i apply the brakes it stalls and i dont know why??

Check to make sure the carb is not closing all the way when you apply the brakes. Sounds like it may be, or at least closing too much and causing it to stall.

YES IT IS CLOSING ALL THE WAY, thanks i thought that was supposed to do that, do i turn uo the idle needle to stop it???

Yes. When the brakes are applied or the engine is at idle, you want the carb barrol to have about a 1mm-2mm gap in there. Otherwise, your completely closing the carb which kills the engine.

With the truck off, turn on the xmitter and receiver and take the air filter/neck off. Adjust the throttle screw until the gap exists. Normally (on most engines) you screw it in. I normally open the throttle a bit with the trim knob on the remote, screw in the screw until I see the barrol move just a little, then I put the trim knob back at it's home position.

I've noticed that when I don't do this, the throttle adjustment tends to bind some while screwing it in. It's just easier on the carb this way.

That's why it would pay to read instructions that came with your engine when you opened the box, you know that written thing on paper....:argue: I am 100% sure that you could have avoided this, or some more of your issues with your truck if only you read them instrutions Pissant -- you said you are 16, boy I am sure you can follow instructions by now right???

Some of us get in a hurry when we get something new. I have done the same. With my first nitro experiance, I didn't know you had to break the engine in. I was 26... I didn't read them either. I have learned since, but man, when I opened the box for my xxx-nt, I just wanted to see it go. 2 years and 3 engines later, I know a lot of the tricks of the hobby. Not all, but enough to have many hours of fun.

yes i knew it, but like old is saying i like to get my truck going and running and dont worry iam breaking her in nice and easy iam on my 4 tank of gas!!
