I was in wal-mart today and i always hear people talking about cleaning thier nitro rigs with simple green i saw it on sale so i grabbed some and holy crap. IT WORKS GREAT!!! I tried everything else all the nitro blast and that stuff. This stuff works much better and doesn't stink and wont get you high lol. Thanks for the advice guys.

That is what I use Simple Green 50/50 with water scrub down a bit then hit is with compressed air....followed up by Armor-All 50/50 with water afterwards. Then dry with more air. Works for me anyway.

Just make sure you get it all off, simple green and aluminium don't mix. Some one got the bright idea to wash aircraft with it, tore up the paint and caused corrosion.

Make sure you get everything dried off using a cloth, but I'd recommend buying a small 2 or 3 gallon air compressor. You can pick one up from Harbor Freight for less then $90. Nice and compact and perfect for apartments and even using at the track!

In non-Computery shops it's just canned air that is useful around the house or workshop. For some reason computer/office retailers seem to think the same stuff is some magic voodoo medicine and charge 4x as much at least for the same can. Madness of free-thinking capitalism, innit

Not so relevant for Nitro, as the electronics are minimal and servos and recvs are usually well sealed, but if you are using compressed air on electronics and stuff, get a water trap (used by spray painting shops) as it will stop you hurling a high-speed fine mist of water vapour at your electronics, we always use em if we use airlines to de-dust computer equipment.

Keep a spray bottle with water to rinse it clean, and an airbrush compressor and tank in the bathroom vanity. I'm also in an apartment, and that setup works fine for me. When you're through with the cleaning, spray it with a 50/50 mix of Armoral and water and then blow that off. It will look brand new, and it creates a coating that dust doesn't stick to.

It's very quiet since it's a piston type. I absolutely REFUSE to buy a compressor with the reed valves because of the horrible noise they make when they run. I have two small compressors and one large one, and they are all piston type.

I've been on that Flomax stuff (for kidney stones). Let me tell ya, that stuff isn't for the weak of heart. It's powerful stuff that ain't to be taken lightly.
