I just upgraded to a completed cvd setup and it works great, BUT, the wheels, when the nut is tightened down seem to be too close to the axel carriers and rub. This makes the wheels feel tight and completely screws up my off the line accelleration. The carriers seem to be all the way through the bearings and all the hex pieces seem fine. If the nuts are semi-loose it works fine, but so far I have lost a nut when a wheel kept going after the truck stopped.

Anyone have any suggestions to look for?

maybe you could try shimming between the hex and the bearing and then put the wheel on or take off 1 compete arm, axle and all and then troubleshoot from a different angle

I'm with chucks, maybe find a washer that is smaller then the outer race on the bearing and put it between the bearing and hex.

Somehow that just seems like a bandaid.

I'm just wondering if this is something I did, or the new cvd set caused or something I overlooked. It didn't happen before.

Are you running plastic wheel hex's or alloy? Plastic ones warp and smash when the axle nuts are tightened too much. This causes binding on the bearing.

They are plastic ones. I was going to just go get new ones thinking that may be it but would alum. ones be better?

Where do you live bro?? I have a pair of brand new alum hexes that i took off of my revo to upgrade to 23mm hexes with wheels and tires. They're yours if you want them.

Cool, I'm in MB, Canada. How much do you want for them?

Pay the ride. PM me your addy and ill ship them tomorrow or thursday all depending when i get your info. Once you get them and you decide that you want to use them, PP me the shipping charges. Those hexes are no good to me. Also look at your LHS, see how much they are. Might be cheaper to buy them locally. Just LMK.

They fit/work perfect. No more binding.

While I was pissing around with that I made sure all the pillow balls on the front weren't too tight and I found a bad bearing which didn't help matters. But the hex's I think, were the main problem. Thank you.
