Got activated yesterday afternoon for hurricane Isaac, and am 2 hour stand by. First vacation time I've taken off in 3 years, and a frickin hurricane comes up and cuts it short. Oh well. As usual people are panicking and screaming "end of the world" out here, all for a category one storm. Gas stations are dry, e en tried to go to the store last night for a loaf of bread cuz I wanted a sammich and they were totally out of bread.... Wtf?!?

Oh well, rant off. Time to go shave off the beard, and make sure the police car that's been sitting in my drive way for almost two weeks will start.
 
Lame. Good luck and I'm sure you will find bread before to long!
 
Yup. Got around 25 magazines loaded from various guns, and poop to of back up ammo.
 
It's calm now. New Orleans is being evacuated through baton rouge, but it'll pick up heavy tomorrow. Rain expected around 0800, winds to start around 1600.

I could make a really vulgar rant about the idiots. I will hold back though. I just got back from texas and was trying to put some damn diesel in my truck and there is none to be found. pisses me off so bad. Also all the idiots posting pictures of them buying beer for all this hurricane party bullshit drives me crazy also. Let it rain my property don't flood.
 
This is the slowest moving hurricane I have ever seen! It should be getting exciting for Alpine about now.
 
Just lost power. Getting the girlfriend on a regiment for running the generator on the fridge for an hour every 4 hours.

Ghetto yet functional. It's hard to put a generator out when your on the top floor of an apartment.

Got two loaves of bread, hot dog buns, hamburger buns, and tortillas. No telling how long electricity will be out.
 
The rain started and getting small gust of wind 20-25 mph, can't wait to loose power.....No generator!
 
I always forget how many of you guys on here live in that area. You can keep it!
