What truck is it? Your slipper clutch may be too loose.
It's not normal, if your giving it throttle and it just putters and revs like crazy it's your slipper I had the same problem with my rustler. If you are just breaking your truck in you should not be giving your truck alot of throttle.

i fixed it it was the slipper. my car is pretty much broken in. i just can't seem to get the air fuel mix right. it is an rc10gt.
