Is this all I need to convert my Rc10Gt to rear exhaust???

The RC10GT allready is Rear Exhaust right?

If by rear exhaust you mean the actuall pipe is positioned at the rear of the chasis then you will also need to get some kind of coupler that will lay it flat. if you were to put this on your pipe would stick way out to the right side, probably contacting the wheel.

IMO if you want to go rear exhaust the right way just get one of those ebay pipes, the "dual" ones that are meant for the Savage. the guy will build one to match your RC10GT, he offered to do it for me.

I hope I was of some help, I just did not really understand what you were asking. add a little more information and maybe we can help you alittle better.

Jesse, you need a rear exhaust engine to use that manifold. The exhaust will also still be oriented to the left side of the body. If I am assuming what you want correctly, you are looking to have the exhaust come out the rear of the body just as the revo. If that is the case, there is no system that I am aware of that has that configuration. There are those that configure one as a "customn rear exhaust" but those are just basically copper tubes bent and soldered. They also aren't the best for performance.

Thanks guys, Diver you are correct it does come out on the left side. I just thought I had seen some where you could convert it with a certain header. I have seen the custom ones and have heard they work ok but dont have the proper back pressure. I will just leave as it is and mabe just get one of those rubber things that extend the stinger a little further past the body.

Jesse; you'd be better off to go with MIP's stinger kit. Everything you need in one handy package. Keep in mind, that's for a side-exhaust engine. If you have a rear-exhaust engine (that has the round port like a .21), then that's a whole nother animal.

That is really strange... My RC10GT came with a rear exhaust engine and a high tourqe pipe. Sorry if I gave the wrong information guys, i thought it was stock that way.

mine comes out right through the body, Heartbreak I have the stock ae.15 do you have a link where I can find that kit?

It's cool Tweak - technically, the stock Thunder Tiger is a side-exhaust, even tho it faces rearward. The actual header-pipe wraps around to the back and side of the truck. And MIP stinger pretty much comes off the side of the engine, does a wierd curlycue type thing, then the pipe exits out the rear (like the stinger on a bee)...

This auction is a GT with a stinger on it; If I remember right, the Rustler stinger will fit.

It seems the stinger kit is discontinued... I've been looking for the last 5 minutes; I'm sure some site out there somewhere has it......

Well, shoot... I can't seem to find any off on their own, but I'm sure somewhere on ebay or the like, there is a stinger kit... Have you posted a WTB in the for sale area?

edit; that ones' a tad different than an MIP stinger... I dunno what that long exhaust tube would actually do to it... The stinger is literally a straight-out-the-backside pipe... I have one for the old .15 Maxx, but that's a different header... If you can find the header, I'll toss ya the pipe for cheap.

Now I feel like a moron. I look at my RC10 and the exhaust IS facing rear. BUT the engine is turned sidways...duh.

So that makes it a side exhaust. you are just looking to modify a rear exahust engine to fit on your RC10Gt, basiclly the same way but with a much smaller manifold right?

I have everything stock and the header comes out the back and wraps around the engine and faces the front, then the pipe runs along side the body and comes out in the middle of the body, I was hoping to find a header that basicaly will set my pipe where its facing the back and comes out the rear of the body. And thanks Heartbreak I will keep and eye out for a header but dunno lol . Mabe I should just get a better tuned pipe for it and leave it the way it is. Any suggestion on a good performance pipe that will fit in the stock location?

the one Nitrobuzzard posted IS indeed the MIP stinger! Jesse, that's the setup I was lookin for... Good find, Nitrobuzzard!

Tweak, a rear exhaust engine has the exhaust header tied to the same side as the back plate, just the same as a .21 engine, it just has a different size header.

A side exhuast engine the header is on the side of the engine.

Jesse, you should go for the MIP stinger kit. They sell for less than $20 on ebay, so its worth a shot. Make sure it comes with the rear shock tower.

360 header if you want real rear exaust.. but watch the wheelies.. it will fill your stinger up with dirt.. and for bashing it puts your pipe very vunerable. you could just get a stinger extender and get the exaust away from the body..

Thanks guys I'm going to watch the one on ebay, I dont think it comes with a shock tower. Is that something you need for clearance?

the tower has a hole in it.. that the pipe goes through.. thats what holds the pipe on.
