And the cooling head should be turned 90 degrees.

MT12's are novarossi's

A lot of engines out there are basically Novarossi. HPI Pro SS is a Nova. The just build like the crank and internals and leave it up to the other manufacture to use their carb and head.

I see, well thanks guys. why does it need to be turned 90 degres? and which way?

can anyone answer that question?

also can anyone tell me what these engines are worth? money-wize

See the little notches on the cooling head? There's two right above the header. Those are so you can take the hex driver and screw in the screws for the motor mount.

As for value. MT12's are probably worth somewhere in the $140-150 range new.

This baby runs sweet. I might inspect the throttle servo though. Thanks fer the info! I thought turning it might make it run super or something when you first said that. You do need to pull the engine to get inside the transmission right? it's having problems now. see, when I like rev it full throttle it tries to go but just barely moves. what do you think it is? clutch shoes?
