I am looking to buy my first Nitro car and saw this one. Does anyone have any experience with this car? Is it a good car and engine? Is it hard to tune? Thanks for any help. Here is a link and a picture of the car.

Spend a little more money you'll be happier in the end.

This is why I posted this question. To see if this is good or junk. Was also thinking of getting the Jato 3.3. Is that to advanced for me? Could you recomend a good, fast, nitro, off road car? Thanks.

Jatos are fast, but that is about all they do well.

If you want a fun rig look into a revo, or a truggy. they can be drivin just about anywhere.

If your not lookin to break the bank about the best value for you would be traxxs brand take a look see what they have there ready to run i think you'll be happy. The revo beason is talking about is by traxxs.:D

For something reasonable look at the traxxas nitro sport about $300

Both of those are a good choice depends what you want bear in mind 4wd is easier to control.

Is there a good truggy that is under $400? Also what do you all think of these two? Would they be a good first time car?

I own the Tmaxx classic, and it is a great machine!! To be honest with you though, if you are going to go with a monster truck, go with the newer Tmaxx, that way you will have an even bigger parts selection, and it will be a bit stronger than the classic. Or an HPI Savage.

If you are looking at these 2, then why dont you look at a Revo?

I know that you said under $400, but for the extra $$ its well worth it.

I will keep the Revo in mind. Also I have heard that Nitro cars need allot of tuning and stuff. Is that true?

When you are first learning, it can be a royal pain in the ass, but if you follow the break in and tuning procedure form the Traxxas site or the manual, you will gradually learn.

Once you get a good tune, you should only have to fine tune for weather, and wont be as much of a big deal.

If you go with electric, there is no tuning involved really, just dealing with esc's, batteries, electric motors etc....different kind of headache IMO, but generally speaking less of a hastle.

I like to tinker on mine and learn about the nitro trucks, so that is why I am into nitro, but you might not want to deal with that and just drive.

Once you get use to tuning nitro engines and propper set up it's as easy as putting fuel in the tank.:hehe:

Rustler or revo you will be fine. Do you have a lhs see what they have for parts that might make it easier to decide.
