hay i just decieded to see if anyone knows anything about the cyber maxx kit. i was wanting to get a roll cage for my t maxx and i saw the cyber maxx kit, and if i spend 80 buck on the cage i might as well spend 150 dollars and get a lot more stuff with it. but just let me know if anyone has any knowledge about them
Funny you should ask...the manufacturer and owner is a member on this forum.....there have been a few members who built them and had nothing but praises to sing about it.......
Lots of info available here.
As a matter of fact, ScottM is a great member here and works for RC solutions.
Do a search on CyberMaxx and one of the threads will be my build of the original kit. They are well worth the money if you want to spend it on a Maxx conversion. Keep in mind my build was from the original kit and they have refined it quite a bit from that time.
I love my Cyber-maxx. I to was looking for a roll cage and decided to go with the full kit. I had alot of fun doin the conversion also. One thing I didnt like was the included drive shaft was plastic. Luckily you can get custom drive shafts from RCAlloys. Scottm can give you the difference in length for both front and rear shafts ( or do a quick search here on RCNT ) . Both shafts cost me 40 bucks and are very heavy duty.
Ok the front shaft is .290 longer than stock. The rear shaft is 1.35 longer than stock. If you give RCAlloys these figures and he will send you the shafts. You then need to have drive cups at both ends of the shaft . UE drive cups were recommended but I used what I could get here ( MIP or XTM I can't remember ).

Did I end up helping you out with that? I remember giving someone else that info. Who cares. The cybermaxx conversion rules. If anyone remembers my cybermaxx build, you would know it rules. The fitment is great and Scott is a huge help if you have any questions. I used parts from a few different manufactures, but the cage/chassis/towers are the skeleton of my maxx. It is definitely worth the money if you bash hard.
I am in the process of building a cybermaxx myself.. this will be my 16th t maxx and i thought after the complete supermaxx I would never be this amped on another t maxx.. this thing is SOLID. Going with an SH .28 with a NOVA head and trying to figure out a pipe right now since my JP1 won't work.. looks like it's gonna be a savage pipe of some sort.. Vantage or THS i guess (I know the THS works..)
