Is it normal for my car to flatten the spur gear after 1 not even 30 second bash? Or to basically drift on foam tires? They get more grip on bumpy bricks than tar roads!:whhooo:

your gear mesh is outa wack and foams have no grooves for dirt and debie so they only get good traction on clean pavement

No, thats not normal, your gear mesh is off causing your spur gear to strip the teeth off of it.

For drifting most guys use pvc tires, foams are not good for drifting.

thats the thing, I don't try to drift. anything over 50% throttle and you can hear the wheels screaming, and then the whole thing likes to spin.

EDIT: Don't try drifting tyres on a AWD running on RWD (in other words a broken front diff) if you don't wanna blow your engine to singular particles.
