Is air brushing the only way to paint?

Alright as the original thread starter here is my finished product! Thanks everyone for all the help I would never have been able to pull this off without ya'll. I love how it came out and now i want to do a whole lot more!

I did 2 coats of orange and one coat of chrome..


That is a sweet looking body. I always loved painting touring cars the best. Dont know what it is, but there fun. That is a sweet blue too! Nice work.

I will have to cut holes!? That sucks I was hoping i could keep it like that I assume it would get really hot in there though. So what size holes are we talking about here? I havent painted the wing yet I'm not sure but for some strange reason when i bought this body i was under the impression and was positive i read it somewhere that it came with a black wing which was the exact color i was planning on painting it anyways so I didnt buy the black paint. So I will be placing another order on monday for it.
