This has been my favorite build thread so far so you can't stop now and I say you should keep finding things to improve 😉 😁 👍

Always :D Front arm parts coming tonight :D

Meanwhile I had made a form from an unpainted body in case these ever stop getting made before I die. It came out decent, using Hydrocal like WF suggested. Letting it sit for a year or so before I fix the imperfections. Hopefully I never need to use it though.

Then I took that body and started on making another spare.

I think I got plenty of spares now, lol, especially since I've wrecked many times and been able to repair them to almost new condition.

Front arm parts arrived so I eagerly assembled them. Got lucky on first try, total perfect fit! Just waiting for the camber blocks and carriers to come tomorrow to finish. The Integy ones I had use different pin sizes so they wouldn't work on these.

Applied some of the new stickers to the green-front bodies, and it looks pretty cool. Also realized that portions of the rear wing were supposed to be cut out, so giving that a try after I'm feeling that there might have been a bit too much force on the top end.

Not much else to update on either of these cars, outside of getting some good passes and data. I think both are pretty much "settled science" at this point.

Mounted my Doteks on some new rims (Baad Racing wide) - same as the Mambos, to try out and compare on the road we run on. Just like the old road, these did NOT hold at all. I also noticed that even with tire bands, these things balloon really badly (I've noted that the design is more like the treads are cut-in rather then extruded out, making the tire considerably thinner than the Mambos. I stuck with the Mambos, but these wide things, even with bands still balloon a bit, and this car has been really stable up until about 40 or 50 mph and it seems to want to get a little wild.

So, I got a set of belted Reaction+ (wide) tires and I will try them out, keeping the tire bands on as well. Doteks are sitting in the acetone vapor box for a couple of days to get them off. I'm not really keen on the compound on the Reactions, so we'll see.

Finding the perfect tires for the job can be a crap shoot. Hopefully you'll find the perfect combo.

Might have! Wiped them down just with WD-40, and let 'em sit 10 minutes. Stuck one of my heavy body screws on and it was like glue.

Took the car outside and did some launch tests in the driveway. I think it's a huge improvement over the others. Will get some full pass vids this week.

These are definitely holding their flatness much better, and don't balloon at all when free revving with the bands/belted tire combo.
