I've been considering the Hobbywing drift stuff for our MST RMX 2.0 build. But I may just have to start saving some money back for this. But dayum, it's spendy. And I have a resin 3d printer at the top of my wish list right now. So I'll likely just grab a cheap Hobbywing setup for it.

This is along the same lines. I thought this thing is SLICK! The self contained units are nice except for the price tag.
No programming box required for these so the esc's price isn't SO stupid when you combine costs of both to compare.
I was thinking this for 4wd carpet racing.

They sell a 'stock' version, the 'Oxide' esc, that has similar specs as this one too. Might be a different option for your drifter too.👍

The only question I have is how do you get the data off of it? Is the LCD interface the only way to program it? I assume it connects to a PC? It doesn't mention any of that.

The Furitek Slidetech ESC can also be connected to via WiFi, and you can buy an additional LCD display to mount anywhere on the RC.

It's pretty next level stuff coming out of Furitek 😉

I believe the Elceram are entirely self contained units. There is no computer involved. Not 100% tho.
The durability and parts, say the screen got broke in a hit... am I just out $250? The esc hangs off the side of this mid so it could get smacked.
In general, the tech thats been coming out is pretty unbelievable when you consider its all for r/c!

Edit: No other interface needed. Elceram are a stand alone unit. 😎

So there are no firmware updates? That would be a buzzkill for me. With that much tech built in, there's always improvements that come along after the initial release. And new things are introduced that can be implemented in previous models. So that kinda negates that one to the scrap pile rather quickly if you are racing and want to stay on top of new things.

For ppl who have easy internet access, maybe an update a week is a good thing. My Tekin and Novaks ran fine for years just as designed. Updates and a leash to a computer are a killer for me.
This is my struggle to find a good racing esc.
I don't even own a working cell phone right now. This one is borowed. No internet here.
Not even a tiny bit remotely interested in an esc that I need to update.
A free standing unit or one that can be used with an offline programmer is all I can use without a lot of added running around for me.

Well, this discussion is about the Furitek ESC dude 😉

Might have to throw one of these in my nitro rs4s. Looks like it would match the rest of the purple. 🥰😍
