How the crap do you stop them? I get one about every 5 minutes. It gets annoying as hell when you're trying to do something and another screen keeps poping up trying to sell you something.
BTW, I'm using Internet Explorer if it makes a difference.
I'd greatly appreciate any help!

Thanks, I'm dl'ing now...I hope this does it.

Damn I couldn't believe how many spyware programs were on my computer. I'd highly reccomend Spybot to everyone!

I don't get pop ups because earthlink takes care of it for me and blocks all of em. If you're using the new netscape, there is a setting for stopping pop ups already built in. Just click on the help section of the program and do a search on the topic.

Most of the pop up blocking programs are for use only with IE.

Good point about the browsers turning off the pop-ups. I'm running IE for mac, as well as Apple's browser Safari. I also have netscape installed on my mac. Only IE experiences those occasional pop-up script flurries. Safari has a blocker built in, and does not do the pop-ups. The only problem with blocking pop-ups is when a decent webmaster codes a link where when you click on it, the new page opens in a new windows. With alot of the blockers, you click the link, but no new window. But, that's what happens when unsavory characters abuse something.

The one I suggested block all of them but their is a widget on the bottom left corner and it allows you to view the ones you want to see.

I've been using Mozilla since one of the early betas. The only reason I still remember what pop-ups are is becasue the IE users keep complaining about them. :D

popupcop.com :) its great plus it stops the messenger pop ups (NOT THE INSTANT MESSAGING ONES)

If you are using spybot the only thing I would suggest is that you run it once a week. It is after all a free program and updates don't come out very often for it. It still allows some of them to get buy.
