Well i blew out my forward out put gear so while i have the trans out i was thinking of getting the integy spur gear with the metal balls instead of the pegs. anyone have any input on them? now i know thier aluminum parts arent any good but i also have thier 3 shoe clutch on the motor and its pretty good. i googled the slipper but couldnt find anything on it. thanks in advanced!

Most people advise staying away from Integy. Their chassis parts are rubbish. Sure they look good. But they're weak and get thrashed easily. I'm not sure if they're still available, but Robinson Racing used to be the gears of choice on Maxxes and I think they're still available. Check online to see if you like them.

robison racing makes great gears for spurs/clutch bells and transmission gears...

Ps: just ordered that 3 shoe clutch, my friend has one on his tmaxx and its pretty impressive!

If your going to go steel, go with RRP. They use really good alloys that hold up for a really long time.

You will need to get a hardened bell though too or you will grind it down to nothing in a very short time.

I try to stick with plastic spurs on my rigs. Cheap and effective insurance.

well, the one i was looking at was still plastic just had metal balls instead of the red pegs that traxxas uses. i ended up not getting it.

I've been using a integy steel spur gear for abouta year now and have had no problems with it.. its been holding up nicely

it should work because that and the 2.5 is why those upgrade kits were made... that sucks you couldnt get it to fit I like the upgraded slipper clutch setup with the three pads instead of the peg setup one....

Yea, maybe its something I did when I vnstalled it. Next time I have the transfer out I will try again.
