Well i wanna get some new shocks and urgrade from these stock ones but i was wondering if integy shocks are a good shock for jumping cause thats almost all i do and is there a real advantage if the shock resivior

blueshocks.webp

ok i looked and found some semi-good info about how good they are for jumping but my question is does the oil resivior increase the performance like from shocks that dint have one and are there better shocks for around 90-100 than these

Ok I am also interested and I shopped around did "my homework" I have read that getting these are mainly for serious racers who tune thier suspension specifically for each track. But for the most part they use big bores. As for bashers I have also read that these can help you out when taking big, tall jumps. Of course using the correct shock weight and spring set up is also in the equation. Figuring this out is another topic!!

Hey Ed if I leave you a green apple will I get an A?

I have used BBs, AE, Losi, and the Int P-Backs.
I found very little difference in all the shock as far as performance goes. The reason I continue to use the P-Backs is as follows.

I found myself having to refill, bleed, and rebuild my shocks often to keep them in top shape. The Int P-Backs have cut my shock maintenance down to near zero. I have beat the hell out of them on my CyberMaxx time and time again and haven't had any leakage, bent shafts or issues with them going flat.

The only thing I may recommend is a set of buggy shocks if your budget will allow.

PS,
I wont tell you what I did with the last apple someone gave me.:horsecrap

ok thanx alot I'm gunna look around some more and do a lil more research on other shocks but ill prob end up coming back to the P-backs

Hey Ed - So when you say "The Int P-Backs have cut my shock maintenance down to near zero" . That is a big reason for me to get some cuz who want tos to keep buying rebuild kits to keep you running when you know you have a proven product that lasts. What type of bashing do you do? Do you take on tall jumps? I guess since I am a basher I want something durable. Since I have a MGT and a TMAXX2,5 then I want quality and durablilty. I will keep doing some research myself if any one else has any opinions on these.

Ed do you know anything or have exsperience with the Dynamite shocks CLICK because i like dynamite products but I'm not sure on how good their shocks would be but I'm still pretty stuck on the p-backs

I've been lookin around and i foundTHESE on ebay for mad cheap all 8 brand new in package and look pretty beefy i think I'm just gonna get a set o these cause theyre so da cheap and if they dont work out ill get the integy p-backs howsthat sound??

Domination- Beware of those I have friends that use those on MGTs and savages and they say that they are poorly made and easily get damaged.!!

ya i gues u get what you pay for right lol but they were so cheap i had to ask for a opinion

I have a friend that runs the integy pb and he bends a shock shaft or two every weekend we get together and bash. Granted, we drive hard, but i have less issues with my stock ultra shocks than he does with his integy shocks.

I'm looking into buyinb 1/8 buggy shocks. They look beefy as hell. A little pricey, but it would probably save on the few times i have bent mine.

The ones i'm looking at are on this page:
http://www.hobbyshopnj.com/monmaxx.html

SuperMaxx Shocks/Knuckle Head
Shock Tower Combo!

(4 Shocks & 2 Towers)

The Dynamite shocks are made by Losi. If you look at my original pics of the CyberMaxx you will see that I used them when I began my project.

Out of the BB, AE, and Losi, the Losi shocks are my favorite. I like the ease of filling as compared to the others.

I'm not sure who makes the Bluestar shocks.
I still recommend looking at buggy shocks.

the only reason i dont want the buggy socks because i don have the extra cash for 2 new towers as well because i have to buy some other stuff too for the maxx so getting the buggy shocks and new towrs with more outn holes will put me over budget for th shocks

I also bash really hard I've bent some of the stock shaft on the maxx also so if the integy's bend easily i dont think theyll be the ones for me so Ed te Losi's (dynamite) ones are they pretty durable??

I just ordered 4 shocks only without towers from the site I posted. Had to do it via phone due to the site wouldn't let me ship UPS ground.

I'll post my results when they get here.

I know they are a little long, but I’m sure with some finagling I can get them to fit.

i read in a bunch of places that if you dont get new shock towers with diff mount holes that the shocks will bottom out b4 the actual maxx does and that =bad

I have an extra skid plate that i made for the bottom of my maxx that adds some distance and shortens shock travel.

I know about this though. Figured I'd try the cheaper route first.
