I know I'm dating myself but do people still remember the MP 6 International and Thunder Tiger VSpec. I recently moved and left these cars (unassembled new) at home. I'm going home during memorial day and wanted to know if these buggies are so outdated that I wont be able to get parts if I should decide to complete assembling them and running them. Alternatively, I can just sell the kits if people feel these vehicles will be difficult to get parts for. Opinions much appreciated.

I assume both these buggies are quite competant on track should I decide to race or meet one of you at the track?

Also, I know both the Picco Engines I bought for these cars require a starter box to turn the engine. Since I'm just coming back into the hobby world, has there been any device (other than a starter box of course) that will enable me to start these engines (other than a ez shaft start) that tower hobbies may carry (I dont want to modify the engines)?

See this:

Will this work?

To those in the electric world, I also have a Marui Samurai (lets see if anyone remembers that car) and back in the nitro world the original HPI Nitro RS4.

The MP6 International was a very nice buggy for its time. Parts can still be found although not in abundance and will usually have to be special ordered. The MP6 and the new MP7.5 do share some parts but not many of the ones that break frequently. If your interested in racing (for real not just the my buggy will beat your buggy battle) then I would definitly think about upgrading to one of the newer kits. (7.5, MBX, EB4, Storm, Hyper7, etc etc)

You might be able to sell those on eBay and upgrade to a newer buggy. Just a thought.
E-bay you also might be able to find parts but I agree you might want to think about selling for the whole parts issue. You can get a very good rtr buggy for $500 or less. For 1K you can get a a great kit, engine, servos and radio.

What do you think would be a fair price to Ask

I have a Violator now. In light of the comments, what would be a fair price to ask for the each of these buggies?
