I was wondering if there is anything that you would recommend for increasing power on my savage 25...also i had another question about the one way bearing in the roto start case..why is the bearing always going bad? I have done gone through like 30 one way bearings..WHY??

Bad tune requiring starter to be ran too long.
Running the starter too long in general.
Flooding it and cranking it over anyway.

Those are the top culprits to busted OWB's. That roto starter is stronger than the bearings by a long shot. They can only handle so much of a beating before their race cracks.

Many say pull-starts are inconvenient and prone to breaking, but with a little maintenance, they hold up for quite some time. They also don't stress a OWB as much. When the engine is flooded, you feel it and stop. With a roto, by the time you realize your flooded, it's too late and either the con-rod crumbles or the OWB busts.

If you want a lot of power your best bet is to upgrade to a better engine.

As for the owb,are you replacing just because they slip or are they damaged? The 25 is prone to oil leakage around the bearing in the backplate especially if you run higher oil comtent fuels like I do. I have a simple mod that makes the owb last a long time but you have an extra item to keep handy when you run.

Many frown on this but it's been working for me for years. Just put a small hole through the roto start housing in line with the edge of your owb . See pic below. Just big enough for the straw from your favorite cleaner(carb,wd-40,brake,etc..)to fit. Also a small hole on the bottom for a drain. If it slips, just give it a squirt of cleaner and you're good to go.

thanks for the help and yes i always have to replace them due to slipping and everytime i take the old one off there is always oil in it. And yes putting a small hole in the case to spray the cleaner in sounds like a good idea..ill have to give it a shot.

they sell superchargers witch dont do anything and are very pricy.they also have a nitrous oxide kit but thats pricy and will blow a hole in your piston sooner or later.your best bet is to upgrade your motor or go to a higher fuel like 30%.id upgrade the motor if u have the funds i like the rc concept 28 very powerfull. or the os30 vg great motor

i only have like 2, the rest got thrown away lol plus they are 18 bucks a piece soo I'm tryin to figure out why they keep goin out and slippin

if you have kinda a good motor you can have it ported and polished that will make a huge diffrence and is about 100 bucks
