My brother was there. He worked at Spear Leeds & Kellogg ... 200 yds diagonally east from the south tower. He saw it all from his office. He was supposed to be in the North tower to renew id credentials for work but decided to have a cigarette first ... he saw it all. I saw it from the roof of our house (after the first plane hit, saw the second). My next door neighbor saw it from where he worked, Canter Fitzgerald. He never made it out, but his remains were identifies (Edward Martinez, he is missed). A friend of mine was in the south tower, Arnold Lim, he never made it out .. no remains identified, only his ID card.
I'm glad my younger brother made it out, but I still feel bad for those I know, and don't know, who are never going to see their loved ones alive again.
My heart still aches when I see the towers coming down on that infamous morning. And my heart still rages knowing that the ones responsible still share the air we breathe. Their day will come.
