Does anyone use those on their rigs? I saw sometthing about one today. Are they worth geting, I dont think I have a filter in my tank, would this be a good idea? And which line...Thanks guys

I would NEVER run without one. I recommend the Big Daddy. One of the best ones out there. Also easy to clean, with the snap in mount.
It's the red one on top, not the clear one.

IMO they are a must! I would never run one of my rigs without one. I use the same ones as my color blind amigo does, lol. The big daddy filter by Dynamite is a real nice filter.

The big daddy's are really nice and you can buy a replacement element for it if its clogged don't have to replpace it. Dubros are nice too but I found that the barbs on it were a bit sharp and I was always tearing my fuel line at the filter.

sorry if its a dumb question, but which line do you put it on? I can't believe I have never heard of using one before yesterday. When I get back from NH I have to get one.Is it called the big daddy? Is what Bryson said stay away from duratrax but the the other ones are ok.

You put it in the line from the tank to the engine. The big daddy has a filter similar to an air stone in an aquarium. It's hard and porous.
When you install it, you want the fuel (and sediment) to collect on the outside of it where you can see it and clean it off. The hollow end goes to the engine.
If you mount it with the hollow end taking in fuel, you will not be able to clean it efficiently before it starts to permanently clog. Mounted properly, all it takes is a shot of air in the hollow end to blow off anything on the outside of the stone.
I think the Big Daddy is the best filter available.

I've always used Great Planes on the fuel intake and the exhaust/back pressure line.

Call it OCD.
