They reason why you were attacking my grammar is because you know I am right about the T-maxx being a was of time and money. The revo can take a beating pretty good.

I was not attacking your grammar because I think you are right. It's because it sucked and I'm tired of seeing folks trash the language and then post up a stupid, weak excuse about having a caffeine headache. Please, give us some credit.

Additionally, you're assumption that every T-Maxx that gets a big block upgrade will need to have the drive train upgraded or else it will torpedo itself is just that, an assumption. Let's look at that word for a minute, because it's clear you need help.

When you ASSUME, you make an ASS out of U and ME!

Several members here have already posted that they have run BB engines without suffering catastrophic results. Maybe they're lucky, maybe they surrounded themselves with good karma or maybe, just maybe, they happen to know the limits of their truck.

I, personally, am in the process of building a T-Maxx. I've owned a Revo and own a Savage. I also own a truggy, buggy and touring car. My experience is that, there is no such thing as a bullet-proof RC, no matter what you do it in the area of upgrades.

My point to all of this is, before you go spouting off that you know everything about a particular model RC and insist that someone needs to follow your advice to the letter lest they regret it later, step back and consider how you would react if someone were to tell you that, essentially, if you don't follow their advice you're an idiot. Stating you suggest upgrading the drive train is one thing; claiming it is an absolute must because you know everything is arrogant and misleading.

VulgarCowboy, good luck with that mill! I've heard nothing but good things about Axial engines!

What the verdict on the BB install....did you get it going? I want to see a video of this truck, the Axail is going to throw that Maxx around like a rag doll LOL

Sorry so long for an up date. The 21 ill be getting my new motor. I have a buddy the works at the lhs. He talk to his boss a month ago for the price of the axial .28 grey that they had. His boss said sense I speed so much money there and bring in new customer that he sells it to me for 100. Out the door. But has been on action to so warm area to brave his truck. So I had to wait for the deal. So he could ok it.

thought id translate vulgars post.

"But has been on action to so warm area to brave his truck"
i kinda had to take a wild stab at what that was.

omg

OK,

I said in the introduce yourself thread that I am a total lurker and that I very rarely speak, let alone argue in a forum, but I now feel that something really must be said.

First of all the Tmaxx has never been designed as a BB truck. Throwing anything over an .18 into it has always required doing extra buildup of the truck using stronger parts.. that is a big portion of why the aftermarket for the tmaxx (and the whole monster truck side of the industry) was able to get so large so quickly. I can say that I completely agree with the people who just want to warn you that other upgrades will have to be purchased and the truck WILL break things as time goes on until then. Although they might be a little bit more tactful in the way they warn someone, it is basically common sense. Think about it.. if you throw a bored and stroked big block with a ported head into your chevy in place of that tired old small block 302.. your tranny is going to hate you. It will probably still be a ball to do it though, and worth every penny in the end.

Secondly, anyone who just comes on here and bashes the T-maxx for being "a waste of time and money" definitely doesn't belong in this thread or in this particular part of the forums in general. Whether or not you present yourself with an incredible slaying of the english language has very little to do with it.

I bought a T-maxx weeks after they first came out, and although i do not still own it, I completely wish I did as it was still the first truck which really got me excited about "bashing".. not driving my car off 25' cliff (although I did that with the .15) NOT chasing truggies with S7's (remember the monster pirate), and not trying to jump my whole house.. just driving a small block offroad truck with larger tires way harder than normal. period.

I have since owned 15 other t-maxx trucks and now I own two.. one that started as a sportmaxx and has been slowly converted into a .15 (yeah people think I'm nuts for ditching the 2.5 for a hyper .15 but that gold headed blue body engine is thee best engine I have ever owned hands down) and a cybermaxx which is basically nothing like a stock t-maxx..

When I want to go bashing now I take the cybermaxx, when I want to CRUISE up and over and just PLAY.. the t-maxx is the ULTIMATE r/c.

If I wanted to have the fastest truck or jump the highest/farthest and that's all I cared about.. then I wouldn't be in this forum.

more than 'nuff said. :burp: :seeing_stars:

Oh I forgot, thread jacking is for sucks..

great news Vulgar.. you've gotta be excited. Be sure to post pics once you have it installed.

Not sure I follow you here. Grasp of English notwithstanding, you seem to contradict yourself with this statement.

When I get it, I hoped it would. But I pretty much knew it wouldn’t. But gave me exscuse to spend more money on my maxx, and not have too much greff from the GF

if the T-Maxx was such a baaad truck, there wouldn't be so many on ebay.

Now I have NOTHING against the t-maxx(I might be getting one and a savage)
But isn't ebay for stuff you don't want any more?:ponder2:
