[Mr. T voice] QUIT YO JIBBER JABBAH FOOL.......

well Ican admit I fudged a CB or 2 before I realized what was goin on.....sucks cause you can't see the dips just hear your engine makin Funny noises when it takes off.....

i use aluminum shoes most of the time, so the deposits werent bad enough to use a dremel on, which is how i avoided that fiasco.

Well, I tried the new clutch and guess what? It didn't make a difference! God, I hope Plaid sells me that carb and that it works to solve my problem. I tell ya...if this keeps on going, I'm just going to buy a sportwerks .26 and be done with it. Sheesh!!

Emu the carb is worth it but I think you may be looking for a quick fix to a more serious problem....I have no problem selling it to you but first did you try resealing the engine? replacing the head gasket? do you know how to look for an airleak? I'd like to know if you can fix it before you go drop coin on a carb and find out it doesn't cure the problem....did you know the owner before you? How well? it may be that you find the mill is shot and buying a new carb would only be a waste for ya.....

Plaid - Thanks for putting some sense into me! Ok, let me look into the resealing and replacement of the head gasket first. I think it's time for me to get away from the hyper for a few days and play with the mayhem instead...I need to get a grip on myself and approach my engine problems logically.

Thanks, again, Plaid. I'll let you know how things go with the engine resealing and such.

No problem.....I know first hand how easy it is to spend dough on something cause you think it will fix the problem......if you find out the mill is still good I'd have no problem selling it to you then as it would be a good upgrade for you from what everybody is saying.....

Plaid dont you look for air leaks by starting the engine and throwing it in a bucket of water LOLOLOLOL

yeah but you need to fill the mill w/ red dye so it's visible when you submerge it.....then use a flourescent light and look for glowing spots....then take rubber glue cover the whole blockw/ it and look for little air bubbles......at least that's how I do it.....

okay everbody who isn't sure...that was a joke......DO NOT do any of what I said....just what Mike said....LOL

well usually when I'm running there is enough crap on my stuff that you can see the clean spots in th eclay from where the air or fuel is coming from.......or spray some silicone oil around the seams on the engine .....LIGHTLY unless you're planning on a super clean up later...and look for small air bubbles.....
outside of that throw it in the dyed water....
Mike I was waiting for you to tell him....he's probably already gone and dunked it in a bucket by now...LOL...

I thought you guys were serious...I put red dye in my fuel, started up the car and ran it lean, got it to 350 degrees and then threw it into my ice cold pool. The engine must be leaking everywhere because I saw colored water everywhere. Strange, the engine doesn't run anymore. What happened...? :)

Anyway, I went and sealed up the carb today and replaced the high speed needle's o-ring; it was looking a bit worn.

Dropped by the LHS today and some darned guy that I know started talking about really nice engines...ulp...I'm kinda vulnerable right now....so he keeps on talking about the SH .21 racing engine and how it's great and all. Well, one thing leads to another and guess what? I have a new engine! Anyway, I refuse to use this engine until I've learned a thing or two about troubleshooting the hyper 8 port. So, it's gonna sit in the box until I make things right with the 8 port. Sheesh...that's the last time I go to the LHS and listen to some guy talking about a great upgrade to a buggy...
