There is a new tax law somehow where I'm going to get $400 per kid come July. Maybe it's a bunch of BS, but my wife heard that some place. Maybe I'll end up with a Savage. :whistle:

Yeah, and if your lucky you will not have to claim the refund/rebate at the end of the year as was the case the last time they did the same thing. That time you got screwed at the end of the year for getting the rebate earlier that year. Don't even try to figure out the Govt. But if you are already rich you benifit more with every change they make. The richer get richer and screw the people that actually make them thier money.
That's it for me, this subject gets me pissed off.

I don't try to figure the government out either. As long as I don't have to pay extra above what they take out of my check, I don't care.

I can't say for sure but that's basically how it went the last time they gave a tax rebate. I know it screwed us but then what's new? Contrary to what we are made to beleive, we are the slaves of the rich and controlled by wages and time clocks. Oh yeah that's right, we live in America and we can be anything we want. LOL - here is a short story about my last rebate check, the one for 400.00 that came after bush got elected.

I goto the mail box, and low and behold, there is a check fromt he IRS for 400.00
I also get another letter, that reads something like this. Due to the fact that you were in a wartime environment on date blah bah to date blah blah (persian gulf war, i was in the USN) u didnt have to pay income tax. However, your command exceeded the blah blah paralell from this date to this date, so you do owe us taxes for those paychecks. that total comes to 414.50

Well, that pissed me off, but whacha gonna do? So i mailed them back the 400 dollar check, along with 1450 pennies.

About 1 month later they come back with another letter, saying that since i agreed to the fact i owed the taxes, that now i have to pay the penalties on it. those came to 1,760 bucks! I called them and tried to dispute it, but they basically told me to shove it. grrr....needless to say, i paid it off in monthly installments for the rest of the year.

Just one of my stories on why i hate the IRS.

Moral? Enjoy your money rob, as u never know when u might have to give it back.

I said son, you have to understand that most all of these people on this forum are pretty good guys, and alot of them know an awful lot about r/c cars and trucks.. But you also have to understand that you dont need to be all that bright to have an r/c car or truck.. LOL.. please peeps.. stick with the r/c .. or take an econ class and look sharp. this was almost as sad as CNN.. Peace!!

I will conceed that I don't know everything there is to know about economics. I did, however, get an A in macro.

I won't let this digress to the inevitable (republicans vs democrates and their respective economic theories). I'm a democrat -- not a big fan of Gore, but a democrat none the less. The rest of you are Republicans. This is one fight I won't start. I appologize for my little poke to the republicans. It won't happen again. Let's all just say that we agree to disagree and avoid the bashing forum all together.
