ok, during breaking in my epic .18 on a t-maxx, i chewed a stocker primary gear (not the spur) and then i got a replacement, but still the stock gear, and proceeded to run again, in about the same amount of running something whent wrong in the gearbox. i took it all apart and to my suprise the primary gear was good as new, not stripped at all, but i still ahd the same symptoms of that gear being stripped, and the pin that holds it to the shaft was intact, so I'm at a deadend as far as fixing my problem...

btw the engine will start and i have throttle and all but it never ingages!!

i think it could be one of the gears that have a metal shoe thing that swings out when centrifical forces are apllied...

i suppose it could be the clutch but i checked it out, besides poopy looking shoes, it looked like it was not the source of the problem.

any suggestions is apreeciated

Is the spur gear spinning? Sounds like you sheared a pin off in the trans somewhere. The gears on the back of the two speed portion of the trans are splined together. Maybe the spline toasted. Or the pin that holds these gears on the two speed shaft broke.

Do you have a FOC or do you still have reverse?

i still got reverse

and i justwent to hobby shop today to pickup some parts to try to run today, one of wich was some clutch shoes from MIP, so we will see if that helps, i disassembled the tranny and didnt see any ovbious problems, but didnt take all the stuff in it apart...
ill post what happens
tnx
