my Idle screw will not open and close the carb, it will tighten and loosen just like a regular screw, but does not have pressure on it like it used to. I did a search but came up with nothing. Thanks

If you can't adjust the idle screw, the screw or the carb body has stripped most likely. Take it apart and have a look to see whats up.

The idle screw travels in a slot on the carb slide. If it's been backed out of the slot and the slide has turned, the adjustment will not work.
If you start to tighten the idle screw VERY slightly, a little at a time while moving the barrel side to side, you will feel the screw seat into the slot and close quite a bit. Only then will you be able to set your idle.

Got the screw set back in the slot, but the only problem now is when the brake is applied the gap closes like its supposed to but when you let off the brake it opens back wider than it is supposed to, i guess like 2mm or something, but as soon as you hit the throttle and let off its back to normal again. so when i hit the brake and let off it will take off on its own. Hope you all understand what I'm trying to explain lol.

Yeah the job of the idle screw is to set a limit on how far the carb slide can go back into the carb. Once you properly set your idle....the brakes can no longer close off the carb. If you adjust it to a good point, but your engine is still idling way too high, then your low speed needle is probably too lean....
