hello I'm new to nitro rc cars and to this forum so i didn't know where to put this. so i am using a ansmann vapor just got about 4 days ago had some trouble at the start but got it up and broke it in but when it is in idle it keeps moving, iv tried the idle screw which is more or less under the HSN if I'm not correct and iv screwed clockwise and anti clockwise and nothing happens sometimes on both rotations is goes faster but never slows down or stops wondering if i'm doing something wrong

Check your tune. If your Low Speed Needle is set on the lean side, it will raise your idle past where the idle screw if effective.

Definatly sounds like a lean LSN..
It took me a while to work out the relationship between the idle screw and the LSN..

When all else fails resetting the carb back to factory settings and tuning from there always helps me...

ok so if i just turn it clockwise (if thats the rotation to make it more rich) until the wheels stop spinning or would that not work?

Never adjust your idle with your LSN ;-) You always want to tune in this order (on most engines)

1. HSN
2. LSN
3. Idle Screw

You want to tune the engine so that you get a nice smoke trail, good power, and a nice sound. Once that is all said and done....adjust your idle to where it needs to be. You can fiddle with the idle as you tune as well, but as you change the tune...the idle will be changing as well.

ok thx for the help ill try getting my needles in tune and see how it goes right now my HSN is at factory setting and its ok but I'm not sure about the LSN but if anything goes not right ill just post it
