my 2.5 is having a problem keeping a low idle.Sometimes the idle will hang-up badly, and most of the time the engine dies when I come to a sudden stop.To keep it running I give it a little throttle, rappidly, almost like reving it at a stop. Wonder if I have a carb leak or low compression. Any suggestions?

Remember this is not a contest to see who's rc can idle lower. As long as the engine stays running and the clutch does not engage it's set fine. Try increasing the idle point slightly.

Are you sure your idle screw on the carb is setting the idle and not your trim knob on the remote? The idle screw is to allow idle when the throttle is applying the brake or at the home position. Open the throttle with the remote a little to keep it running and screw the idle screw in, then let off the throttle. Adjust accordingly until it allows you to hit the brakes without dieing.
