I would bet money that is a scratch-built boat.
Maybe it's a scratch build. Hmm.

Looking at the pics, I dunno.

The paint job makes me think it's from the late 70's or early 80's.

Not sure what it is but I can tell you, its a total pile of junk. SEND IT TO ME....:p

this is custom made. And not the best way either.

many fails.

Sorry to say
Garbage says my friend that have racing RC Boats 35 years

It looks like a home built attempt to build either a tunnel boat, or a hydroplane, or maybe combine the two. Although i wouldnt say its junk, i would seriously wonder how well it would hold up at speed, since it looks like some of the fiberglass is peeling.

Do you knw roughly how old it is? I'm curious.
That's a hard call as he made the same hull 30 years or so. I would say early to mid 90's. He also changed cowlings but retro fit them so newer cowls would fit older hulls.
His Aeromarine cat hulls dominated racing and are still used with great success today. But very hard to date them.
Aeromarine somewhat went rouge in the 2000's where if you ordered a hull, you never got it. You didn't pay until it shipped. But if lucky he sold a hull he had in stock, usually the cat hulls. So this is why I say hard to tell the age. You could get them in fiberglass mylar or kevlar.
I guess there is a hobby shop in Delaware titled Aeromarine Laminates, might try to find them and search. Aeromarine also sold weed Wacker cat hulls.
