Hey guys,

I recently got a very cheap Kyosho from a garage sale and am in the process of restoring it. Its an old Turbo Burns which is in pretty good shape, although needs a really good clean.

The engine is a Mugen 3.5 with a Novarossi carb, but I can't find any info on it at all.

Id like to know what the factory settings are likely to be and if its worth doing a pinch on the sleeve.

Any info greatly appreciated.

I'm almost certain that is an older Novarossi made for Mugen. The carb, the block shape and the "made in italy" on the bottom of the block lead me to think this.

The carb itself has the R that Novarossi has on it as well as the word "novarossi" at the bottom of the square on the front of the carb.

Probably worth a pinch if when you take it apart and check it there aren't any gouges in the piston/sleeve or in the crankshaft. Although, with that filter on there... I wouldn't hold my breath. Those things let in quite a bit of fine dirt that chew up engines. It's why people shouldn't use them.
