Every HPI 14mm hex MT wheel I've ran spun the wheel hex. I don't know if it's what they make them out of or if the hex isn't deep enough or what, but I always have at least one go bad on me after a short while.

I have had those but in satin chrome, on my savage for a couple years now, no spun hexes. I do know some of the problems with spun hexes were caused by the cast hexes themselves. I replaced mine with the clamping style hexes and never had a problem. I did spin the hexes in my original SS rims though, but that was before I switched the hexes.

Sorry man, it was so long ago I don't remember. I got a set for my maxx and my Savage at the same time.

I'll have to see if I can find a nice sharp cornered set so I hopefully avoid a spun hex next season.

so i should get em, any tires in mind for these for grass/street
and i have the most new tmaxx 3.3 if that helps

That was the problem with the original stock cast hexes, they were not sharp cornered at all, and were definitely a sloppy fit in the rims.
